I believe he goes into detail about that in his memoir. R58 he’s been saying that since Haim died, and it’s the one single part of his story that’s stayed consistent. Just as it was for poor Seladon, the the time of his reckoning is fast approaching. As a youngster Feldman was likewise an innocent and a victim of trauma at the hands of Hollywood, but ultimately he was brainwashed early into believing the violation he & others suffered was justifiable and thus blindly offered up his own kind (Haim, probably others too) for the Hollywood overlords to drain believing that doing so would give him status and protection.
To extend the metaphor let’s call Feldman ‘Seladon’, after a selfish delusional Gelfling character who was a turncoat supporting and believing in the evils perpetrated by Skek’Sis like a craven coward. In the fictional universe of THE DARK CRYSTAL, Skek’Sis use politicking and nefarious methods of manipulative control to exploit smaller more benevolent creatures called Gelflings, essentially raping them for their goodness. Skeksis (also styled Skek’Sis) are a hideous tyrannical monstrous race of creatures that drain weaker more innocent beings of life energy for hedonistic pleasure and for exertion of power easily comparable to a rapist Hollywood producer. R33 apologies, let me explain more clearly. He was already almost 50 and out of talent when Haim passed, so it’s not like he had much more to give the performing arts biz. Bonus points if he’d donated a chunk of his unnecessary money to a charity for abused kids (instead of stealing from others to pay for his lifestyle) and slunk off to a frugal civilian life in shamefaced obscurity forevermore.

The only way I could ever have fully respected Feldman is if he’d have never written a memoir or made a movie and instead went to the press when Haim died saying “god, what have I done? I helped facilitate one of his rapes, and I introduced him to drugs and exploitative people knowing he couldn’t have dealt with it. But Haim’s untimely death is mostly down to the Feldog’s pimping grifting ways and he well knows it, hence all this projection and deflection to allay the crushing guilt he knows he should accept and live with. Of course, Haim’s enabling stage-Mother and so-called “friends” (*coughRDJcough*) also have his blood on their hands too. Even the old Skeksis who raped the poor kid that Haim once was did him less damage than other-Corey. Feldman was the worst thing to ever happen to Haim.
